The VIN on the stern of my boat is: ERY00711M84C
The person I got it from said it was a 1970 boat because "19S70" is stamped above the VIN on one of the hulls.
What does that mean? I'm thinking it is an '84 boat--The hulls have a red foam core.

Dan,
The "ERY" stands for Ericson Yachts who was the builder of your boat. the "84" at the end is the year.
The 19S70 is actually 19', Starboard Hull, and probably hull number 70

Thanks!
I thought SC19s came out in the early '80s, so I thought the seller was a little off--I just didn't want to bring it up when I was buying it. The '19S70' was throwing me, though.
