So that's it for the painting but there is still a few things left before I end this thread. For all those that have watched and followed this post I hope I have helped or inspired you to try this or some of it yourself.

Re: SC19 Rework
Ok so I got out to the SC19 again this week and got a bit more done to it. I was able to get her off the horses and back on the trailer. I moved her out into the sun for the entire day where I wet sanded her down with 2000 grit cloth then a rubbing compound then a good coat of marine polish.
Sexy ass in red.... don't they always look good in that color !!!!

After all that came the decals..... Again not perfect but I was trying to get the boat level. Its now official !! Just need to get the tramp and standing rigging on then add water. She will see water this year !!! Ok so I took these with my phone and not my usual camera and I am not able to right these pics. I apologize and will get others when I go back out to finish her up and step the mast.

Re: SC19 Rework
Was back at it yesterday and finished her all off and she is ready now for sea trails !!!! So my last day at it I did gat the tramp on just not laced. Got it on laced and standing rigging all looked good. There will be a few things that need replacing but not a big issue. I will have to replace the tramp I can not get any more out of it. The Jib sail I want to be red the zipper is going out on it and the main sail halyard I have and will install tomorrow before sailing her. that's right sailing it tomorrow will post those pics this week as well. But here are a few of it ready to go.
OOOOh Yes coming together nicely !!! Standing rigging all up and looks good !!! Just add water !!!!

She's beautiful! Way to go. All she needs now is a little green slime ramp rash.

Re: SC19 Rework
I can now say it is official and this thread will come to a close. I has been great posting here for those of you who have followed along and are contemplating some thing similar. Go for it!!! Yesterday me and my great friend Havliii and Capt, Chicken went and put this boat back on the water of the Potomac. We went to our training grounds and had an easy day of it. The winds were light and there was plenty of skinny water found. We learned a bit and tweeked things here and there but over all a pretty good sail. Max speed was 9.1 mph, air temp was in lower 70s, water temp is around 61F , winds were 2-8 knots. We covered 15.06 miles in 4:20 with an average of 3.5 mph
We did fly a hull but it took a lil "coaxing" shall we say. This was our lunch break local. This was our lunch break local. A days end. There will be a few more things change and I will post those as they occur. Be safe on the water have fun and always remember life is to short for cheap grog!!!

Re: SC19 Rework
I see very much hard work to repair this boat/these hulls. Thanks for saving their lives.
Some one must have paid you to take this boat.

Re: SC19 Rework
Bruiser, thanks for your comment. When we go to races, occasionally we see an old SC that has been restored.
There was one at the Mug Race for the last two years.
Why don't we see any NACRAs or Hobies being restored?
Answer: In the field of fiberglass boat building products there are three levels of quality or strength
of the materials to build boats with. There is the top of the line stuff, the strongest resin for example, There is also some middle of the road stuff and the cheap stuff. The same is true of fiberglass cloth and foam core material and gel coat.
Supercats were always built with the top of the line materials. You never saw hardware attached to the hulls with "pop rivets" on a Supercat. That is cheap junk work.
This is why it is possible to restore these older Supercat products. Several years ago Tom Changed to epoxy resin. This was a major step up in quality of hull construction materials. These boats are going to last forever. The RC30 that Eric and I sail is 20 years old. The first RC30 ever built lives in Barbados B. V. I. It sails in the ocean and is still going strong after 25 years. There is also a Supercat 17 down there that is 35 years old and it still out runs every other beach cat down there.

Re: SC19 Rework
Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and would like to know how this boat is doing. Is it sailing still? Are there any Info here with owners of the Supercat 22's Are there any where that sell parts?
The RC30 (Silver Bullet) in Barbados - West Indies and not the BVI as the previous owner stated. It is a beast of a boat. The Crew of the boat sails with crash helmets as the boat gets up to 25+ knots. The owner got this boat at a deal.
Thanks
