Re: SC15 out of the weeds back on the water
Looks great!
You should check out some of the races in Virginia next year--there is a nice family one near Tappahannock in the Spring and a few down in Virginia Beach all Summer. The one in Tappahannock is a fun, low key event that I usually go to with my 15. It is a great feeling beating up on Hobie 16s at that event.
We have a very structured Buoys race in Virginia Beach the weekend before Memorial Day that has an open class. We also have a really fun distance race Labor Day weekend that regularly gets single handers like Hobie 14s, SC15s and Hobie 16s.

Re: SC15 out of the weeds back on the water
here's what i've got... i don't have a jib sheet. but i'm going to add all the rigging i had for it (which was used only one season)... shrouds, trap wires, forstay, jib halyard, and bridles... i am missing one jib sheet block in the pic but i know where it is.. still looking for 550.00 for all of this shipped... mostly because none of it works for the new setup i'm using

Re: SC15 out of the weeds back on the water
She looks GREAT Ga. Where are you launching from ?!?! We have a few cats of the same breed in our non-club club. We would enjoy for you to come sail with us!!! I personally have a SC15
And a SC19.
So we are going to have to get some sail time together!!!! I see you have already met Jason and Dan..... Andy....whom I refer to as Commodore and Jeff are also in the area and we have all sailed together at some time. Either on the Rappahannock River or the Potomac. I have even crossed the Chesapeake on my SC15. Forget all you learned about the Hobie if you sailed that breed and sail this boat the opposite. Push the bows into the water, the deeper the better. If you need help or advice drop me a line here too.

Where are the jib blocks on a self tacking jib? Mounted on the track on the front of the beam? I'm sick of sitting on jib blocks.

Re: SC15 out of the weeds back on the water
You wouldn't need the conventional jib blocks on the self-tacker, would you? Sheeting would be by way of the track lines? I'd like to see the setup for sure.

Re: SC15 out of the weeds back on the water
Jason has a single jib block mounted in the middle of his trampoline, kinda like a 20/22. I think it is a funky set up, but he thinks is is best, of course. I have a pair of swivel blocks mounted on the front beam, so they are out of the way and very convenient. I run the ends of the jib sheet to the eyelets that normally you would attach the jib blocks to (on the tramp track). I sit on the knots, but it is better than sitting on a block!!
