difference between a SC19 and 19XL
i am looking for any hidden differences.. i know that the XL is 6" wider and 4' tall but is there structural differences in the hulls... in other words can i slap a set of wider beams on my standard 19 with out worry of the extra leverage? Also my 19 is very powerfull almost overpowered, is the XL a better boat than the standard? Thanks guys!!!

Re: difference between a SC19 and 19XL
The hull laminates were different in the 19XL. Can the standard 19 handle the taller mast and larger beams? I won't say no, but I think you would be pushing them harder then they were designed for.
The higher aspect ratio mainsail on the 19XL actually made for a smoother ride compared to the original 19. The boat still had a lot of horsepower, just easier to manage.
