Well its been a long winter but she is done. I have sailed her twice now. The last time I sailed her it was in a 15mph breeze and i got her up to 18mph, this was 2 up as well. Wow...... what a powerful and fast boat this is !!!! Now I have heard that these do not pitch pole......rest assured they do !!! I did it but it was no where near as violent as the Hobie's pitch pole. She deaccelerated slowly as both hulls went deeper. I think the wind got under the tramp and finished it off.
Dan the jib was a hoot on this !!! Next project is craddles for the trailer.....any idea where to find some of those ???

Wow, maybe you can work on putting MORE tell-tale windows on your main?!
Look for the Hobie 20 cradles:

I made mine with a tube and used the brackets for rollers. I think mine were the Inter cradles, but it took some enginemeering.

Dan it might look as though there are alot of tell tale windows. Actually there are only a few. What happened is when ever the sail was used last it was wet. The windows mildewed the the sail in thier pattern after it was rolled up. I have tried to remove them and they look better now. I wanted to post a pic taken at the last sailing on Saturday. I might have to put it on TheBeachCats.

But for you Dan I will get you that picture of the lower half of the stack....the black sheet is hot !! Do you miss her ?? Thanks for the info on the cradels, I will be getting the set. I had her up to 18mph in a 15mph wind last weekend.

I was talking about the double stack rig for your trailer! we need to see that with the 15 and 14 on it!
Did you install the SC righting system with the Hayfield levers?? If not, how hard was it to right the boat when you flipped it??

They say all good things must come to an end. It was a good shake down sail for both skipper, crew and boat. Ended with a down wind run all the way to the pier.

Oh....that double stack....that one is being worked on. Yes the righting system is on her. I did not need it however. I was 2 up so it was a bit easier. I righted her twice. The first time she went right over the other way. Had to spin her around and try again. No problem that time though. Was a good experience though...I know I took a little water in the mast but I can seal it up a bit better now knowing.
