Polyester or Epoxy?

Thanks to posts on this forum and conversations with Tom and Matt my Supercat 17 resurrection is progressing.

I am assuming that older Supercats were built using polyester resin. If this is the case, should I be using polyester resin for repairs or epoxy? Is one easier to use? There seems to be some confusion on this topic.

Thanks again for your help.

Whalerman,

The older boats were built with both polyester & vinalester resins, epoxy was used starting around 1994.
Your best bet is to use epoxy as it can be used to repair both polyester & epoxy.
