tele to fixed beam conversion
tele to fixed beam conversion
can any body who has done the conversion from tele to fixed offer any advise on the project. I have taken the tele set up apart to replace the beam buttons, have noticed small cracks in the inboard end of the tube where the dolphin wire exit the tube.I could have them welded etc.but the conversion to a fixed set up is starting to look more appealing, can any of the existing parts be used,is the choice of tube material still 4 inch 6061-t6 any advantage to going wider than the stock set up looking for pro;s con;s from any body who has done this. thanks andrew

Re: tele to fixed beam conversion
Can't help you with the conversion but thought I would show you my cracks. You think yours are bad.
They went 2/3rds the way around. I think I got all the use out of them I could.
