Crewing question...
I may be invited to crew an overnight-race on a Stiletto 23. Anything different on this rig vs. my SC17? Again, I'm just crewing, but don't want to make a complete fool of myself...I'd be satisfied with partial-fool. Been to the boat...looks pretty similar...with the addition of the spinnaker setup....

SC19 in the keys
Hey folks, I had a south Florida layover for a couple of days so I headed to the keys, on the way down, I happened to see an SC19 sitting by the side of the road....it's around mile post 95 if I recall. Looks like it's complete and sitting on a trailer. Who knows, maybe it can be bought....

Re: Rudder hardware
Hi Dan, thanks for the note. I'll yank the steel pin and use the plastic pins to mount the rudder. My rudder ropes are all set...got those correctly rigged from someone that posted last year..... As a side note, what is the name of the font for the Supercat logo? And what size do you use on the side...

Rudder hardware
Hey folks, the SC17 is going back together. Here are a couple of pictures of my rudders. Is the hardware correct? As you can see from one picture, the hardware I ordered last year is on the rudder? Did I get the correct hardware? I'm not sure how to utilize what I have based on how my rudders are cu...

Wind bridle vane recommendation
Hey folks, I need a wind vane and was thinking fo the Telo-Cat unit to go on the bridle. Will this unit work for my roller-furling setup on my SC17?
thanks,

Re: Powder coating
Thanks for the information Matt. I'll prly get them sent off next week, then spiff up the rudders. Should look nice. I'd agree with the boom and mast issues. It's a much more difficult process to adequately prep the surface for paint. While it would be practical to powder coat the beams, you'd never...

Powder coating
I'm going to do some upgrades and refurb work on my SC17 over the winter. Among some hardware updates, I was thinking of having the rudder gudgeons powder-coated. Any issues with having this done?
thanks,

Eric, as I understand this righting system...I have the same on my SC 17...having both levers up certainly would work against us in a righting situation, as the top-side lever being up will sink the mast further in the water. We definitely want the topside tight in a righting situation. My SC manual...

Catamaran hoists options
Thanks for your comments Eye. I was thinking of the delta V setup, and the more thought I give it, I'm thinking maybe a vertical hoist, such as a Shorestation hoist decked with some marine-grade lumber, thus giving it a flat top. This would work on the SC 17 with the smaller beam, as the hulls would...

Catamaran hoists options
Hi folks, I'm trying to find a solution that best fits my needs, and since I have a 100 foot long break-wall, with an average height to the water of 3 to 4 feet, a hoist seems the best method for keeping the cat on the water all season. With that said, I see Midwest Sailing offers a cat hoist. Their...

Hi Dr. Pepper, thanks for your comments. I am thinking that the shackle was the result of the setup having been originally opposite of how it's pictured now, whereas the halyard pulley was connected to the mast hounds. I swapped it around as Aquarius and others indicated my setup was not correct. I ...
