I am using past experience with a Hobie 20 miracle where down haul was very dramatic. I suspect that the H-20 mast section is less rigid, tht would explain why I ripped the head grommet out of my first main sail.....

It appears to me that there is very little pre bend in my mast as it is now. How much prebend should there be in an ARC21 mast sailing in Florida in 10 to 20 knot winds? I find that there is very little downhaul capability, is this a function of the lack of prebend?

What are the costs involved with powder coating beams? I love the idea.

or... is there another technique? I have a can of Pettit skidless compound that I intend to mix with the paint and roll on after taping off.

I want to reapply the non skid section next. Can this portion be rolled without reducer in the paint?

When reassembling the beams onto the hulls, is there any special preparation of the bolts recommended? Grease? I there supposed to be silicone around the bolt holes to stop water intrusion? The aluminum blocks that are inside the beams have arrows on them, which way do they point? Rudder assembly, m...

Finally, squirted the paint yesterday. I did get some orange peel because the compressor could not keep up with the gun but overall looks fine.

Some years better thanothers. 4 kids$ so regular sailing is out f the question. I like to get the MKL, Mug, and Tradewinds at a mimimum. This year I have the boat inbits for painting, which has turned into long term project. The rain/humidity is prohibiting me from painting..... Dammmit Jim!

How about describing your sequence, maybe I'm doing it the hardway.....
Setting is easy for me, retreival is where I need to improve speed.

I have righted the 21 with zero wind using the extenders.
