Rudder Issue

My leward rudder was kicking up for no apparent reason yesterday. I sailed for about an hour with th e spi up with no issues at all. We doused the spin as we had to head up and all of the sudden the leward rudder let go. Since we were flying the WW hull we were without steering and consequently caps...

I prefer to use John Denver tapes, they are pretty fast. Karen Carpenter is good too.

Regarding the hook at the top of the mast. I am not sure what I am going to do. I will probably end up "not selling" the ARC. It is looking sweet and I have a lot of sweat equity and $$$ into it right now. New trampollines, new jib, I ordered a main from Coconut Grove Sails yesterday, new paint, new tiller, new rigging. I can't see...
