Re: Any members here in the Binghamton, NY area?
I think you're right. I guess I'll have to drive down there are take a look. I'd have stopped on Saturday, but was headed back home with the fam. It looked to be a 20 as it appeared pretty darn big. I'll report back.whalerman wrote:I think the two of us are the only people from NY that post...

Re: SC15 out of the weeds back on the water
You wouldn't need the conventional jib blocks on the self-tacker, would you? Sheeting would be by way of the track lines? I'd like to see the setup for sure.

Any members here in the Binghamton, NY area?
If so, fire me a note. I eyeballed what I'm pretty sure is an SC sitting behind a barn....

Re: Adding a spin to a SC 17
Anyone out there added a spin to an older 17? It does not look like an insurmountable job as I have a front beam with a track in it and the beam is in really good shape with the double sleeve in the middle of the tube. I was thinking it might be necessary to put a piece of aluminium angle on the in...

Re: SC refurb
Beautiful job Finley. I'd love to have mine done this winter if I can find someone locally to do it. Did you get the 'SuperCat' logos from Aquarius, or did they send you the font style and size? Did you have them gel coated in?

Re: New Supercat 17 purchase
Welcome aboard Paul. Firstly, I'm not sure of the clam-cleat setup on top of your hulls. I suppose it might have been used in lieu of a jib block? In any even, definitely not stock from what I have seen. Secondly, your shroud extenders definitely do NOT mount where you see them. In fact, if you look...

Self tacking jib for SC-17
Hey folks, the bay is nearly melted, and I'll be sailing soon. My SC17 came rigged with a roller furling jib, and associated blocks, etc. I am thinking that I can more easily sail this rig with a self-tacking jib, and also thinking I can more easily tack this beast also! What are the thoughts here, ...

manuals
My illustrated parts catalog and my SC17 owners manual got soaked. Has anyone scanned theirs that can email them to me? I just hadn't gotten around to scanning them yet, and Aquarius hasn't uploaded them to their website for download.

Jam cleat batten's
After getting my main back from having the bolt rope stitching repaired, I had to re-tension all the battens and happen to notice that I don't have the jam cleat ends on the battens but solid ends. Needless to say, this does not make quick batten adjustments easy. Are the jam cleat ends available? t...
